Case Study – Spray Booth System
From Concept to Scalable Spray Booth System,
Without an
Internal Engineering Team
Modular system architecture, sheet metal design, airflow performance, and installation efficiency…engineered to scale across multiple booth sizes using a shared kit of parts.
Problem
Fastrack Equipment lacked an internal engineering department to tackle the complex technical challenges of industrial spray booth design. They required a partner to engineer precise airflow, structural integrity, and code-compliant systems from scratch.
Solution
C2S designed a modular spray booth system using a standardized kit of parts. This architecture simplified manufacturing and installation, allowing Fastrack to configure multiple high-performance booth sizes from common, repeatable components.
Outcome
The engineered spray booth system enabled Fastrack’s successful nationwide launch. High performance and rapid installation established C2S as a trusted partner, evolving a single concept into a scalable, long-term engineering platform.
The Problem
Fastrack Equipment approached C2S through a referral from their sheet metal supplier with an idea for a new line of industrial spray booths. While Fastrack had deep knowledge of their market, they had no internal engineering department and were facing a highly complex product challenge.
Spray booths require precise airflow management, structural integrity, code-conscious design, and efficient installation—any misstep would impact performance, safety, or customer adoption. Fastrack needed a partner who could fully engineer the system from the ground up while keeping manufacturing and installation practical.
The Solution
C2S partnered closely with Fastrack to design a complete, modular spray booth system built around a standardized kit of parts. The system architecture allowed Fastrack to configure multiple booth sizes using common components, dramatically simplifying manufacturing, inventory, and installation.
We engineered the sheet metal assemblies, structural framework, and system layout with performance and repeatability in mind, ensuring consistent airflow and reliable operation across configurations. The modular approach also reduced installation complexity, allowing booths to be assembled quickly and accurately in the field.
The Outcome
The engineered spray booth system enabled Fastrack to successfully launch a new product line that has since been installed across the country. Customers consistently highlight the speed of installation and strong performance as key differentiators.
The success of the spray booth program established C2S as Fastrack’s trusted engineering partner, leading to additional redesigns and updates across multiple Fastrack product lines. What began as a single concept evolved into a scalable platform…and a long-term partnership built on results.
